Travello bolsters its board

TRAVELLO has announced two impressive additions to its board, with ex Tourism Australia CEO Andrew McEvoy named as Chair and former Virgin Velocity chief joining as Board Director.

Commenting on his appointment to the online tour and experiences company’s board, McEvoy said, “with an outstanding platform already in place, I see enormous potential for Travello to scale up”.

Gunter, who has been an advisor and investor at Travello since 2019, believes the company is “perfectly positioned to leverage the global trends of social commerce, while also addressing the challenge of optimising capacity for experience providers”.

“We’re beyond thrilled to appoint Andrew and Phil as the newest members of the Travello leadership team,” Travello CEO and Co-Founder Ryan Hanly said, adding, “they both have a proven track record at the highest level, scaling travel and tech companies globally as well as offering a unique understanding on the evolving needs and behaviour of travellers.

Travello has been experiencing a strong growth trajectory, recently opening its first concept retail store in Cairns, and seeing a 240% year-on-year growth in sales for this year (to date), with overseas source countries’ sales up a massive 600%. Additionally, the company’s multi-day sales have increased by 400% and booking volumes are up 250%.
