AFTA announces IATA ID Card deal

A NEW collaboration between The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) means AFTA members can now enjoy a 50% discount off their digital IATA ID Card annual fee for a limited time.

The card is the only globally recognised industry identification card for travel professionals and industry suppliers, and is used to administer industry benefits and concessionary rates to travel professionals, including savings of up to 50% on selected IATA training courses.

Other cardholder benefits include access to the IATA MemberPerks platform, discounts on gift cards, up to 30% off at hotels, preferred rates on car rentals & transfers and $35,000 in travel insurance coverage from UATP.

AFTA CEO Dean Long said the Federation is “delighted to be in a position to offer even more benefits to our members, and on behalf of the travel industry I thank IATA for their ongoing support.

“Travel professionals who renew their AFTA membership get a great value deal in not only the heavily discounted IATA ID Card, but also the ongoing support, education and training that’s part and parcel of our membership experience.”

IATA Area Manager South West Pacific, Matteo Zanarini, commented, “travel businesses are an important partner in the travel value chain, and as the travel sector recovers from three years of COVID, we look forward to other areas where we can work together and contribute to the growth and success of the entire travel industry”.

Travel advisors who wish to take advantage of the special IATA offer should contact [email protected] before the deal ends on 30 June.
